I teach songwriting workshops and classes... That blend practical skills with transformative creative expression... For students of any ability.
I've been writing songs for over 38 years. And my first songs were terrible. I like to tell my students that, like me and most people, you're probably not a songwriting genius, but if you are willing keep an open mind and put in the work, you can become skillful at this awesome, uniquely expressive craft.
Classes are limited to six students. So you'll get lots of individual attention and possibility for deep connection and inspiration from your fellow students. I teach my standard songwriting class two or three times per year, and they typically meet once per week for two hours for five weeks, and we schedule a final showcase and celebration at the end.

I've been an audio recording geek since 1987: From a 4 track tape recorder setup in my high school bedroom to a professional studio intern in college to a music professional riding the digital home recording studio evolution. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with you through a lively, down-to-earth, hands-on workshops:
I teach awesome guitar lessons for adults and kids at any ability level: never-ever, beginning, some-experience, intermediate and advanced.
Through "master level" singing instruction and vocal coaching, I teach you to sing in ways that you've always imagined. It doesn't matter if you think you can't sing a note, you have serious experience or anywhere in-between, I can help: Get you started... Upgrade your existing awesomeness... Or meet whatever vocal goal you have.

- SCHEDULE: Most classes happen two or three times a year based on your interest! We create a schedule to suit your needs! Please contact to let me know you're interested, and I'll let you know what classes are in the works!
- COST: Varies for each class.
- CLASS SIZE: Small class size of 5 to 6 people for lots of individual attention and peer connection!

- TERMS: Full refund if cancelled 2 weeks or more. No refund after that.
